I try to down load and read a book and not show. It is blank. Requesting a refund.

When you try to download, it disappears. There is nothing in the library! And the developer website has a 404 error.

This app hasnt been updated in a very long time, at least 5 years. Books will not download or open and the email feature doesn’t work. This was once a really great app I enjoyed many great reads from and would love for it to make a comeback.

This is a really good app and it has a lot of good literature, it just needs to be updated. Maybe the creator lost their pass code, so Apple please make contact with these people so they can get back into their account and update the app. This is a very good thing which we should promote, and I hope you guys will update your app.

App no longer works. “Updating” of books never finishes. Too bad.

This app isn’t downloading any of the books. It is saying wait 20 seconds to 2 minutes. Very frustrating!

I’ve updated this review over the years since 2016. It’s now 2020. The app doesn’t work and hasn’t been updated since 2016. That’s probably all you need to know but if u want more details read on. 2019: A couple of years ago I used this app all the time. Then about 1-2 years ago they did an update that required your books to “render” because they’d made SUCH IMPROVEMENTS to the reader. Only problem was the books never rendered no matter how long you waited. I deleted the app. Now it’s 2020. I downloaded the app again and lo and behold the problem is still not fixed!! Books just sit there ‘rendering’ and never open. This app could be great if it worked. Fix the issue or take it off the App Store - it’s ridiculous. Update late 2020 - 6 months later still not fixed and I can’t even find the app on the App Store anymore. Apple probably buried it so deep they are only using it on the other side of the earth in China. Hard to understand why the dev. Hasn’t fixed it. Hope he/she is ok.

Gr8 app when it works. Sorry the developer must be in some tough times to not be able to get it functioning like it used to. Won’t get past the buggy “rendering” loop.

The app keeps saying that it is rendering ever since I updated the app. Please fix the app so that I can be able to read a childhood favorite book through the app.

Developers have never fixed the downloading problem and I so thoroughly enjoyed this app. So saddened nothing has been done to satisfy the users of the app. Do not use it!!

I have had this stupid app for months. A couple months earlier I downloaded this app and wanted to read Alice in Wonderland and I tapped on it it said: please wait while the book is being rendered it could rave anywhere from 20 seconds to 2 minutes. YEAH RIGHT. IT STILL HAS NOT RENDERED YET. FIX WITHIN A WEEK OR I AM DELETING THIS USLESS APP.🤬

So first I could not find Emmy books I like so when I finish found things that looked cool I would try them. This is the problem the books tack forever to load and this is with not just one book but all of the books I tried and I tried a lot. It said that it could tack up tack up to tow mins to load and I counted it took way more than two mins it took so long that I could not enveloped wait that long and I have a good phone.

THIS icon is fabulous; I’ve enjoyed every single one of them that I’ve read. To be able to take my iPad with me anywhere and everywhere I go and have 1000 books at my fingertips is an unbelievable luxury! Thank you ‘Books’!!!

This doesn’t work. You cannot download or email book. No stars given because nothing from nothing leaves nothing.

It’s Apple’s responsibility to take down apps that have been abandoned by their creators. Look at the dates of the reviews.

Just downloaded AGAIN. It will not complete rendering any book.

I downloaded this app a year ago and deleted it the next day. I just looked Ike’s to see if it’s any better. It’s not.?

Not able to open any book! In old days it was my fav app

If you are looking for actual books to read, don’t bother with this app. Any books are always stuck in the “please wait while the book is being rendered”.

This app should be taken off the app store. Books do not download.

I download the books but they never open and I can’t read them. Please fix the app.

Once you finely find a book you’d like to read the thing won’t load!!!

Rendering is supposed to take 20 seconds to two minutes. I waited for hours and hours (even overnight) for it to complete. Never once I get a story (any story) to read. I guess this app “went out of business” without notice because the app support blocks complaints indefinitely. If this is true, this app must be removed from the App Store!

I can’t read grins fairy tales and I want to needed update

This does NOT WORK! It displays books and appears to download them ok but I can't read them because it sticks in a rendering mode.

This app does not work! It never renders and never opens any books! Very disappointing as it used to be great!

DEC 2018 on iphone 7 ios 12. Message says new telease require rerendering of books. It just hangs up never completing the rendering process. Can not read any books

Access denied as it does not “render” the book successfully

The new reader never loads the books. You en up just waiting to cycle through. I have the latest iPhone and there is no reason why the books shouldn’t load. There is no attempt to fix or respond to inquiries. A waste of money.

This idiotic thing doesn't work! Its been downloading for 24 hours , 1 book , the 1st book! Im gonna call applecare and have them refund me money. Maybe if everyone does that they’ll do something about there product. Seems to be the only way to get people to respond. .

I use the old version on my iPhone 5. This new one does NOT work on iPhone8. Time to charge my old phone.

App says it is re-rendering and will not work

I love this app. I would totally recommend it. Only a few things. 1. There's not very recent books. 2. You can't download books without wifi. 3. The audiobooks aren't free. If these things are fixed I would give it 5 stars.
